Morning after breakfast, check out your Hotel and begin your road journey towards Shillong ( 130 Kms. / 3.5 Hrs.), Enroute visit Umiam Lake or Barapani Lake, the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya, it offers an incredible experience of sailing & other water sports activities ( on direct payment basis) in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. Arrive Shillong and check into your Hotel. Overnight Stay in Shillong.
Drive to Mawlynnong. Visit the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. drive to Dawki. Later back to Shillong. Overnight Stay in Shillong.
After breakfast excursion to Cherapunjee ( 60 Kms/ 2 Hrs.). Enroute visit Mawsmai Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Thangkarang Park, Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak. Guwahati lies between the banks of the Brahmaputra River and the foothills of the Shillong plateau, with LGB International Airport to the west and the town of Narengi to the east. It is gradually being expanded as North Guwahati to the northern bank of the Brahmaputra. The noted Madan Kamdev is situated 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Guwahati. The name "cherrapunji" which means 'land of oranges' was first used by tourists from other parts of India. Local taxis also travel to Cherrapunji, and give you the option of stopping at a few viewpoints and sights on the way from Shillong to Cherrapunji (Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View and others), as well as visiting spots in Cherrapunji (the Mawsmai Cave, Cherrapunji Eco Park, the Nohsngithiang Falls or Seven Sister Falls).
Mawlynnong is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of the Meghalaya state in North East India.[1] It is notable for its cleanliness and also was chosen by Discover India magazine as Asia's cleanest village. The village comes under the Pynursla community development block and Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituency.
