Early morning, proceed to Gaya (250 km / 5 hrs). Visit Vishnu Path near the Holy Phalguni River and perform any necessary rituals. Afterward, visit Sri Mangala Gauri (Shakti Peeth) Temple. Then proceed to Bodh Gaya (10 km), visit the Bodhi Tree where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, and the Great Buddha Statue. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

Bodh Gaya is a religious site and place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple Complex. The place is famous for being the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have obtained Enlightenment. The place-name, Bodh Gaya, did not come into use until the 18th centuryas historicaly, it was known as Uruvela, Sambodhi, Vajrasana or Mahabodhi. The main monastery of Bodh Gaya is now called the Mahabodhi Temple. For Buddhists, Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha. The surrounding town, by contrast, is dusty and somewhat noisy, but a new development plan has been proposed to "ensure a sustainable and prosperous future" for Bodh Gaya.

The ancient city of Ayodhya, according to the Ramayana, was founded by Manu. For centuries, it was the capital of the descendants of the Surya dynasty. Skanda and some other Puranas mention Ayodhya as one of the seven most sacred cities of India as it was the venue of many events in Hindu mythology. Today, Ayodhya is famous for its close association with the epic Ramayana and is a city of immense antiquity full of historical significance and sacred temples.
