6 AM drive to Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna spent his childhood days with the Gopikas and Radhika pined for her lover. On arrival Vrindavan, visit ISKCON Temple and then proceed to Bankey Bihari Temple (Main temple of Lord Krishna & one of the oldest temples built in 1921) and then visit Rangaji Temple - Vrindavan’ longest temple. Later proceed to Mathura. On arrival, check in to hotel. Later 5 PM visit Mathura- the birth place of Lord Krishna and then proceed to Dwarka Dheesh Temple. 7 pm visit the Yamuna ji "MAHA AARTI". Later return to Mathura. Overnight Stay in the Hotel.
Morning breakfast, drive to Gokul (20 Kms) visit Gokul Nath Ji Temple. Proceed to Mahavan - believed to have cradled Lord Krishna. Visit 'Assi Khambha' the temple dedicated to lord Krishna. Continue to Govardhan, where Lord Krishnaheld aloft 'Giriraj', the sandstone hill on his finger for seven days. Return to Delhi in the evening. Krishna Janmabhoomi marks the original spot of the birth of Lord Krishna in the Katra Keshav Deo Temple. The main shrine leads to a small room with a raised platform, and pictures of Krishna and tales of his birth adorning the walls. According to legends, the prison cell, in the temple premise is the exact place where Lord Krishna was born. The stone walled cell is reminiscent of the cruelty of Kansa. Many statues and sculptures from the bygone era were found on excavating the site. Since the prison cell is turned into the present beautiful temple, lakhs of devotees throng the temple during Janmashtami, every year.
Vrindavan is a town in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the site of an ancient forest which is the region where, according to the Mahabharata, the deity Krishna spent his childhood days. The town is about 10 km away from Mathura, the city of Lord Krishna's birthplace, near the Agra-Delhi highway. The town hosts hundreds of temples dedicated to the worship of Radha and Krishna and is considered sacred by a number of religious traditions such as Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Vaishnavism, and Hinduism in general. The most popular temples include: Banke Bihari Temple, built in 1862 is the most popular shrine at Vrindavan. The image of Banke-Bihari was discovered in Nidhi Vana by Swami Haridas, the great Krishna devotee, belonging to the Nimbarka sampradaya. Jaipur Temple which was built by Sawai Madho Singh II, the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1917, is a richly embellished and opulent temple. The fine hand-carved sandstone is of unparalleled workmanship. The temple is dedicated to Shri Radha–Madhava. Rangaji Temple, built in 1851 is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha or Rangaji depicted as Lord Vishnu in his sheshashayi pose, resting on the coils of the sacred Sesha Naga. The temple built in the Dravidian style (as a replica of Srivilliputhur) has a tall gopuram (gateway), of six storeys and a gold-plated Dhwaja stambha, 50 feet high. A water tank and a picturesque garden lie within the temple enclosure. The annual festival of Jal Vihar of the presiding deity is performed with great pomp and splendour at the tank. The temple is also famous for its 'Brahmotsdav' celebration in March–April, more popularly known as the 'Rath ka Mela'. The ten-day-long celebrations are marked by the pulling of the rath (the chariot car) by the devotees from the temple to the adjoining gardens. The prayers within the temple are performed, following in the style of Andal, one of the twelve Vaishnava Saints of South India.
Govardhan famous for Holy Goverdhan Hill.There are many temples in this town namely Haridev Mandir, Daan-Ghati Mandir and Mukharbind. . The town is also famous for its 21 kilometre long Parikrama of the a very old hill called Govardhan. The parikrama procession is held in very high religious belief. Its said that Lord Krishna held Govardhan Hill on his little finger to save the town from wrath of the god of rains Indra. The town also houses Manasi-Ganga, a close-ended lake. This is another place for the devotees visiting this town. On the banks of this lake, there are quite a few temples, one side of the lake shore now houses a regular marketplace. Being close-ended, pollution is rampant in the lake. One of the most important day in Goverdhan is Guru Poornima (Also called "Mudia Poono"). On this day, Millions of devotees come to Govardhan for parikrama. Govardhan Temple About 22 kilometres from Mathura, the town is on the road link between Mathura and Deeg.
Gokul is a nagar panchayat in Mathura district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located 15 km south-east of Mathura. Hindus believe that Lord Krishna spent his childhood in Gokula.
