Arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station, meet and greet and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Birla Mandir.
After breakfast, proceed to Shimla / Kufri (380 kms. /11 hrs.), Evening at leisure.
Post breakfast, drive to Kufri visit Kufri visit kufri -Winter Sports Capital, Himalayan Zoo. Evening visit Mall Road.
After breakfast, proceed to Manali ( 260 kms. /9 hrs. ) pass through Beas River, Sutlej River & Kullu valley. Arrival at Manali, Check into hotel.
Enjoy Spectacular drive towards Rohtang Snow point (51 Kms) at an attitude of 3980 mts. and enjoy in the Snow (Rohtang Pass is closed on Tuesday). Evening return to Manali. Rest of the day at leisure.
Visit the ancient temples like Vashishtha Temple and Hidimba Temple.
Proceed to Dharamshala ( 270 kms. / 9 hrs. ), Evening visit the Tibetan Monastery (Dalai Lama Temple).
After breakfast, proceed to Khajjiar ( 175 kms. / 6 hrs.) popularly known as "Mini Swiss" for its Snow Capped Mountains and Pine Trees and later proceed to Dalhousie ( 23 kms. / 1 hrs.).
After breakfast, proceed to Amritsar (200 kms. /5 hrs.). Visit Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh. Evening proceed to Indo-Pak Wagha Border. Later drive back to hotel.
Early morning, depart to Delhi (475 kms. / 9 hrs.). Enroute visit Kurukshetra (optional). Reach Delhi in the evening and board the train / flight for your return journey.
Amritsar is the spiritual center for the Sikh religion in the state of Punjab. It is home to the Harmandir Sahib, also referred to as the "Golden Temple" as the spiritual and cultural center for the Sikh religion. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal on week days alone. The city also houses the Sikh temporal and political authority, Akal Takht. Amritsar is situated 217 kilometres northwest of state capital Chandigarh and is very close to India's western border with Pakistan. The main commercial activities include tourism, carpets and fabrics, farm produce, handicrafts, and light engineering. The city is known for its rich cuisine and culture and also for the tragic incident of Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919.
Shimla is bounded by Mandi and Kullu in the north, Kinnaur in the east, and Solan & Sirmaur to the south. Shimla is well known as a hub for India's tourism sector as it is among the top 10 preferred entrepreneurial locations in India. In 1864, Shimla was declared as the summer capital of British India and after independence; it became the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Name of Shimla has been derived from the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali. As a large and growing city, Shimla is home to many research institutions in India. City has a large number of temples also well noted for its buildings styled in Tudorbethan and neo-Gothic architecture dating from the colonial era.
Manali in the Beas River Valley is a beautiful hill station nestled in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. It is located about 270 km north of the state capital, Shimla with a population of approx. 30,000. The small town is the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand. Manali and the surrounding area are of great significance to Indian culture and heritage as it is said to be the home of the Seven Sages. Tourism is the most significant segment of the town's economy as tourist attractions of this hill station includes Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries and adventure sports.
Dharamshala is a city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley, surrounded by dense coniferous forest, mainly of stately Deodars. The suburbs of the town include McLeodGanj, Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, Naddi, ForsythGanj, Kotwali Bazaar, Kaccheri Adda, Dari, Ramnagar, Sidhpur and Sidhbari. The village of McLeodGanj lying in the upper reaches is known worldwide for Tenzin Gyatso. In 1959, the 14th Dalai Lama established the Tibetan exile administration in the north Indian hill station of Mussoorie and in May 1960, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) was moved to Dharamshala. From 1959, an influx of Tibetan refugees has made Dharamshala a popular destination for Indian and foreign tourists.
Khajjiar is a hill station in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, located 24 km from Dalhousie. Khajjiar sits on a small plateau with a small stream-fed lake. The hill station is surrounded by green meadows as well as dense forests. It is in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas and snowy peaks. Khajjiar can be reached from Dalhousie by bus in an hour or so. It has a rare combination of three lake, pasture and forest.Mr. Willy t. Blazer, Head of Chancery of Switzerland in India brought Khajjiar on the world tourism map by christening it "Mini Switzerland". He also put a sign board of a yellow Swiss hiking footpath showing Khajjiar's distance from the Swiss capital.
Kullu is the capital town of the Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley north of the airport at Bhuntar. Kullu is a broad open valley formed by the Beas River between town of Manali and Largi. Kullu valley is sandwiched between Lower and Great Himalayan range. Kullu valley is famous for its beauty and its majestic hills covered with Pine and Deodar Forest and sprawling Apple Orchards. The course of the Beas River presents, a succession of glorious, clad with forests of Deodar, towering above trees of Pine on the lower rocky ridges.
