Arrive at Bangalore Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit Bull Temple, Lal Bagh Gardens, Cubbon Park, Visveswaraiah industrial & Technology Museum, Vidhana Soudha, ISKCON Temple.
Departure to Mysore (140 kms. / 3.5 hrs.). Enroute Visit Srirangapatna - Tippu Sultan's Island Capital, Palace, Fort. Afternoon visit Chamundeswari Temple, Maharaja's Palace and light & sound fountains at the Brindavan Gardens.
After an early breakfast depart for Ooty (160 kms. /4.5 hrs. ), the Queen of Hill Stations. Visit Botanical Gardens and the scenic Ooty Lake where you may enjoy an boat ride.
After breakfast, proceed to Kodaikanal (268 kms. / 7 hrs. ), a charming hill station. Evening at leisure.
Visit Shenbaganur Museum Coakers walk, Telescope House and Kodai Lake.
After breakfast, drive to Madurai ( 135 Kms. /3 hrs. ). Visit the famous Meenakshi Temple. Later, transfer to Airport / Railway Station for onward journey. You may also leave Kodaikanal and reach to Bangalore ( 432 kms. /8 hrs.) for return journey.
Kodaikanal in the hills of the taluk division of the Dindigul of Tamil Nadu is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and popular tourist destination. Also named "The Gift of the Forest", Kodaikanal was established in 1845 as a refuge from the high temperatures and tropical diseases of the plains. Much of the local economy is based on the hospitality industry, which serves tourism. The earliest residents of Kodaikanal were the Palaiyar tribal people as the earliest references to Kodaikanal are found in Tamil Sangam literature of the early Common Era.
Madurai is the third largest city and is located on the banks of River Vaigai. It has been a major settlement for two millennia and is one of the oldest incessantly inhabited cities in the world. Madurai is closely associated with the Tamil language as all the 3 primary congregations of Tamil scholars were held in the city. The recorded history of the city goes back to the 3rd century BC as city is believed to be of significant antiquity and has been ruled, at different times, by the Early Pandyas, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Madurai Sultanate, and the British.
Ooty is a town and the district capital of the Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu. Originally occupied by the Todas, the area came under the rule of the East India Company. Today the town's economy is based on tourism and agriculture, with manufacturing of medicines. The town is connected to the rest of India by road and rail, having many historic sites and natural beauty, which attracts tourists.It was originally a tribal land, occupied by the Todas along with other tribes who coexisted through trade. A History states that the area which is now called as the 'Old Ooty' was originally occupied by the Todas who then handed over that part of the town to John Sullivan, the then Governor of Coimbatore.
Bangalore officially known as Bengaluru, is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Mysore, officially renamed as Mysuru, is the third most populous city in the state of Karnataka, India. Located at the base of the Chamundi Hills about 146 km (91 mi) southwest of the state capital Bangalore, it is spread across an area of 128.42 km2 (50 sq mi). According to the provisional results of the 2011 national census of India, the population is 887,446. Mysore City Corporation is responsible for the civic administration of the city, which is also the headquarters of the Mysore district and the Mysore division.
