The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal and is regarded by many, as the finest example of Mughal architecture. The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, widely recognized as ‘the Jewel of Muslim Art’ in India and is one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world heritage. Taj Mahal has an architectural style that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architectural styles. The Taj Mahal is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Its beauty attracts numerous Indian and international tourists to visit this site.

Agra Fort

Agra Fort

Agra Fort: Agra Fort is located, about 2.5 km north-west of the Taj Mahal. It served as the royal residence of Mughals for generations, the fort was the battle site during the Indian rebellion of 1857. The fort has a semicircular plan, its chord lies parallel to the river while its walls are seventy feet high. Double ramparts have massive circular bastions at intervals, with battlements, embrasures, and string courses.Four gates were provided on its four sides, one of them, Khizri gate opens to the river. The Delhi gate is not accessible to the public.

Ayodhya is located on the right bank of the river Saryu. It is a popular pilgrim centre as town is closely associated with Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The ancient city of Ayodhya, according to the Ramayana, was founded by Manu. For centuries, it was the capital of the descendants of the Surya dynasty. Skanda and some other Puranas mention Ayodhya as one of the seven most sacred cities of India as it was the venue of many events in Hindu mythology. Today, Ayodhya is famous for its close association with the epic Ramayana and is a city of immense antiquity full of historical significance and sacred temples.

Also known as the "city of Prime ministers", post independence, 7 out of 13 prime minister of India belonged to ALLahabad. All these seven leaders were either born in, were alumni of Allahabad University, or got elected from a constituency in Allahabad. The city's original name Prayaga comes from its position at the sacred union of the rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati. The Benares Gharana form of the Indian classical music was developed in Varanasi with many prominent Indian philosophers, poets, writers, and musicians.

Gaya is 100 kilometers south of Patna, situated on the banks of Falgu River. It is a place sanctified by the Hindu, the Buddhist and the Jain religions. It is surrounded by small rocky hills and has a mix of natural surroundings, age old buildings and narrow bylanes. Gaya derives its name from the mythological demon Gayasur which literally means Gaya the demon. Lord Vishnu killed Gayasur by using the pressure of his foot over him. This incident transformed Gayasur into the series of rocky hills that make up the landscape of the Gaya which had the power to absolve the sins of those who touched him or looked at him.

Bodhgaya

Bodh Gaya is a religious site and place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple Complex. The place is famous for being the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have obtained Enlightenment. The place-name, Bodh Gaya, did not come into use until the 18th centuryas historicaly, it was known as Uruvela, Sambodhi, Vajrasana or Mahabodhi. The main monastery of Bodh Gaya is now called the Mahabodhi Temple. For Buddhists, Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha. The surrounding town, by contrast, is dusty and somewhat noisy, but a new development plan has been proposed to "ensure a sustainable and prosperous future" for Bodh Gaya.

Helicopter tickets are issued by IRCTC through their online portal https://heliyatra.irctc.co.in/. The Capacity of each helicopter is only 5-6 seats and only 9 companies (one helicopter for each) are authorized to operate. Demand is very huge for Heli tickets but supply is limited. We make all the efforts to make the reservation of Helicopter tickets online on your behalf. However, because of the huge gap between demand and supply, sometimes we may not be able to reserve the Helicopter Tickets. In such cases, neither Southern Travels Pvt. Ltd nor its associates, take any responsibility for providing Helicopter Tickets and in such a situation, we would be refunding an amount of Rs. 5200/- towards the cost of the Helicopter Charges.
In case of non-availability, pilgrims have an option of visiting the Shrine by walk/ pony/ doli at their cost for which our local representative will assist them. It is also clarified that in such circumstances, you will cooperate with the management and shall not raise any demands and or not file any complaint to the Consumer Court or any other courts for any compensation or damages.
