Our Services

We are pioneers in the travel business for the last 43 years. We have a fleet of 50 coaches/ cars of our own, with a network of offices at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. Our Indian restaurant is functioning at Durban South Africa. We also own Hotel Southern at New Delhi equipped with 100 available Rooms.

For the fifth time, Southern Travels got privileged with receiving this esteemed award in 2011 from the President of India - Smt. Pratibha DeviSingh Patil along with honorable Union Minister for Tourism, Mr. Subodh Kant Sahai. With these prestigious Honors, Southern Travels is re-encouraged to serve the Indian Tourism with new zeal and enthusiasm.

The background of this company:-
Southern Travels ( Regd ) was a Partnership Firm since 1970. It became a Private Limited Company in 1995. Our Chairman, Shri A.V. Rao, was holding some of the important positions:-

Our management consists of Shri A.V. Rao, Chairman ( M.A. ), Shri A. Krishna Mohan, Managing Director (MBA, from Loyola College, Chennai) and Shri A. Venkata Praveen Kumar, Joint Managing Director (MBA from New College, Chennai). These professionally qualified young executives are on the Board of Directors of our company and are assisted by experienced profissional / General Managers

Future Plans:- Our 60 rooms three star Hotel is comming at Jaipur (Rajasthan). This will be the first Hotel where local people and tourists can get authentic South Indian Food. we are also adding the latest Model Volvo Coaches before March 2010 to our fleet of buses and cars and opening out travel Office at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu shortly.

Social Service: There was unprecedented flood in Andhra Pradesh in September 2009. Our company contributed RUPEES ONE LAKH to Chief Minister's Flood Relief Fund. We also contributed Rs.50,000/- to TV9 as donation in addition to supplying 2 of our trucks for transport of flood relief material from Hyderabad to Kurnool.

We regularly give Cash Awards to 20 to 25 meritorious students who stand FIRST in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh where from our Board of Directors are born and brought up. Incidentally, all our Directors and our General Manager, Sri M. Rama Rao are from a remote village, Prasangulapadu near Ongole, Prakasam District in AndhraPradesh.

We are also giving regularly Cash Awards to Telugu students securing FIRST Position in Delhi Schools and Sri Venkateswara College, New Delhi.

We are also planning to extend our social services particularly in the field of education to encourage young boys and girls.
