Jammu – Katra (50 kms / 2 hours)

On your arrival at the Jammu Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative or Driver who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. Arrive Katra and Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2
Katra (Visit Mata Vaishnodevi Temple)

After Breakfast, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan - one of the most popular pilgrimage of India situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town, at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra involves a trek of nearly 14 Kms from base camp at Katra known as Ban Ganga. Alternate way to perform darshans is by battery operated cars, Ponies/Palkis/ Helicopter. If time permits, visit Ardhkuwari & Bhairo Temple, now you can go by ropeway from Vaishno Devi Bhavan to Bhairon temple. After visiting the temples, return back to the hotel in Katra and relax for an overnight stay at hotel.

Katra to Srinagar

Morning Post Breakfast and Drive from Katra to Srinagar (approx. 5-6 hours). Check into a hotel in Srinagar and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel

Day 4
Srinagar - Local Sightseeing

Post Breakfast and transfer to Local sightseeing of city visiting - Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. We will explore the gardens and later drive for Shankaracharya Temple situated on top of the Shankaracharya Hill in the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is at a height of 1,000 feet above the valley floor and overlooks the city of Srinagar. Later evening Shikhara Ride at Daal Lake (On Direct payment basis) Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5
Srinagar - Sonamarg: (Day Trip)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The route towards Sonamarg takes us on a picturesque countryside drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams and blooming rice fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan which handles all the local needs of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar, famous for its trout farm and stopover for a warm cup of tea ( Own Cost ) before we head towards Sonamarg. We will once again alight from our vehicles at the tourist spot of Gagangir. The spot is built in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island with snow glaciers covering one or the other spot. In Sonamarg we will take a 3 hour walk or horseback (Own Cost ) trip to the Thajwass glacier. After our return we will visit the small-town market for some snacks or just pay a visit observing the local people going with thier daily routine. We will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and transfer to the hotel for our overnight stay. Note :- (All activities Or Entrance Fee Own Cost)

Srinagar to Jammu

Post Breakfast, check-out from Hotel and transfer to Jammu. Arrive Jammu and transfer to Hotel. If time permits visit the Local Sightseeing Palaces. Overnight at Hotel.

    Katra

    Katra serves as the base camp for pilgrims who visit Vaishno Devi. It has hotels, guest houses, restaurants, and dhabas. Free accommodation is also provided by some registered trusts in the form of sarais for the poor. The number of pilgrims who visit the shrine every year has increased from 1.4 million in 1986 to 8.2 million in 2009. A bazaar sells souvenirs, dry fruit, woolen garments, hosiery, and leather jackets. To reach Vaishno Devi, pilgrims register at Katra before starting the trek, and by registering, the pilgrims get accident insurance up to 100,000 INR while on the trek of 14 km. There is another trek of 2.5 km from Vaishno Devi temple to Baba Bhaironnath. Electric vehicles and helicopter services are available for pilgrims. A new ropeway system has just been inaugurated from the Vaishno Devi Bhawan to the Bhairon Baba Mandir, reducing the journey to time to just 3 minutes. The ropeway can carry 800 people every hour.
