Departure to Pondicherry (162 Krns / 3.5 hrs) visit Aurobindo Ashram, Ganesh Mandir, Beach. After lunch proceed to Pitchavaram (1 6 Krns ) a place of rare scenic beauty with its serene Back waters and then proceed to Chidambaram (55 Kms/ 1hrs) visit Lord Nataraja Temple, The cosmic dancer (Lord Siva).
After breakfast, proceed to Thanjavur (130 Kms) enroute visit Vaitheeswaran Kovil, an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva. It is said that Angarakan Mars. Visit Nagore (Nagore Dargah), Velankanni (Roman Catholic Church). Upon arrival at Thanjavur, check into hotel. Evening visit the famous BrihadeshwaraTemple (built by Chola Kings). Here you can see Giant Nandi carved in a single stone, which is considered to be the second largest in India.
After breakfast,proceed to Rameswaram (235 Kms/5 Hrs).visit Ramanathaswamy temple, take bath in 22 holy wells and visit Pamban bridge.
After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari (395 Krns / 7.5 hrs) the land's end of India, is a meeting point of the great three seas - The Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. The glory of Kanyakumari is its sunset and sunrise. Visit Vivekananda Rock.
Morning enjoy sunrise at Kanyakumari. After breakfast, proceed to Suchindram and visit Thanumalayan Temple which is unique as it is dedicated to Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma. After lunch, proceed to Madurai. (1 72 Krns / 4 hrs). Upon arrival, check into hotel. Evening visit the famous MeenakshiTemple.
Morning you may revisit Meenakshi Temple. After breakfast, visit Thirumalai Nayak Mahal and later proceed to Kodaikanal(95 Krns / 4 hrs). Upon arrival, check into hotel. Kodaikanal is one of India's most beautiful charming hill station. Evening at leisure.
After breakfast, visit Shenbaganure Museum, Coaker's walk, Telescope house and Kodai Lake. Evening proceed to Trichy (195 Kms / 5 hrs) Upon arrival check into hotel.
Trichy is also known as "Rock City" situated on the banks of River Cauveri. After breakfast, visit Rock Fort temple and then proceed to Srirangam (7 Kms) visit Sri Ranganathan Swamy temple-tallest temple in India. Later proceed to Chennai (320 Kms / 7 hrs) and transfer to Chennai Airport/ Railway station for onward journey.

Kanyakumari, also referred to as Cape Comorin earlieris located at the southernmost tip of India. It is the geographical end of the mainland. The closest major cities are Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, which makes it a popular tourist place in India. Kanyakumari takes its name from the Hindu Goddess Kanyakumari whose temple is situated in the town of it’s, on the sea-shore, and is very confluence of the three water-bodies – the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. Kanyakumari has been a great centre for art and religion for centuries and was an area of great trade and commerce during rule of Cholas, the Cheras, the Pandyas and the Nayaks.
Chennai is the capital city of Tamil Nadu, located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal. Chennai is a major commercial, cultural, economic and educational center in India and also known as the Cultural Capital of South India. With the second largest port in India, Chennai had been part of successive South Indian kingdoms through centuries. The recorded history of the city began in the colonial times with the arrival of British East India Company. The British defended several attacks from the French forces, and Chennai become a major naval port and presidency city by late eighteenth century.
Chidambaram is an industrial city in eastern part of Tamil Nadu. It is located in 58 km from Pondicherry and 240 km south of Chennai by rail. The city is home to Annamalai University, Nataraja Temple, Chidambaram Temple and port Parangipettai. The city is a main pilgrimage site for Shaivites and Vaishnavites. The ancient Chidambaram Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in form of the cosmic Dancer with one of the five dancing halls of Nataraja. Chidambaram is also one of the Panchabhoota Sthalams - representing five basic elements.
Also known as Tanjore, Thanjavur have been derived from "Tanjan", a legendary asura in Hindu mythology. While the early history of Thanjavur remains unclear, the city first rose to prominence during the reign of the Medieval Cholas. It served as the capital of the Chola Empire and after the fall of the Cholas, the city was ruled by various dynasties like Pandyas, Vijayanagar Empire, Madurai Nayaks, Thanjavur Nayaks, Thanjavur Marathas and the British. Thanjavur is an important center of South Indian art and architecture as most Great Living Chola Temples are located in and around Thanjavur.
Rameswaram in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu is located on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel. Together with Varanasi, it is considered to be one of the holiest places in India to Hindus. It is situated in the Gulf of Mannar, at the very tip of the Indian peninsula and is connected to mainland India by the Pamban Bridge. According to legend, this is the place from where the Hindu god Rama built a bridge, across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from Ravana. The Ramanathaswamy Temple is located at the centre of the town and is closely associated with life of Rama.
Kodaikanal in the hills of the taluk division of the Dindigul of Tamil Nadu is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and popular tourist destination. Also named "The Gift of the Forest", Kodaikanal was established in 1845 as a refuge from the high temperatures and tropical diseases of the plains. Much of the local economy is based on the hospitality industry, which serves tourism. The earliest residents of Kodaikanal were the Palaiyar tribal people as the earliest references to Kodaikanal are found in Tamil Sangam literature of the early Common Era.
Also called Tiruchirappalli, Trichy is the fourth largest municipal corporation in Tamil Nadu and also the fourth largest urban agglomeration in the state. The city is believed to be of significant antiquity and has been ruled, at different times. The archaeologically important town of Uraiyur served as the capital of the Early Cholas. Tiruchirappalli played a critical role in the Carnatic Wars between the British and the French. The city has a number of historical monuments such as the Rockfort, Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam and the Jambukeswarar temple.
Madurai is the third largest city and is located on the banks of River Vaigai. It has been a major settlement for two millennia and is one of the oldest incessantly inhabited cities in the world. Madurai is closely associated with the Tamil language as all the 3 primary congregations of Tamil scholars were held in the city. The recorded history of the city goes back to the 3rd century BC as city is believed to be of significant antiquity and has been ruled, at different times, by the Early Pandyas, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Madurai Sultanate, and the British.
