    Nubra Valley

Nubra Valley, 150 km north of Leh is the capital town of Ladakh. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra, which means the valley of flowers in local language. The Shyok River meets the Nubra to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges. The Nubra River is a tributary of the Shyok River, which flows into the Indus River to the east of Skardu, Pakistan.

    Ladakh

Ladakh, also known as the land of high passes lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Tibetan descent.
