Arrival at Pune Airport / Railway Station. Pickup and transfer to hotel. Visit Khandoba Temple, Omkareshwar Temple, Chaturshringi Temple, Dagdusheth Ganapati Temple, Parvati Hill Temple etc.
After Breakfast departure to Kolhapur ( 240 Kms / 4 hrs). Upon arrival check into hotel.Visit Sri Mahalakshmi Temple and other places.
After Breakfast proceed to Pandharpur ( 180 Kms / 3.5 hrs). Visit Sri Pandurang Vittal-Rukmini Temple. Then Proceed to Tuljapur ( 115 Kms/ 2.5 hrs). Visit Sri Tulja Bhavani Temple. Later proceed to Solapur (50 Kms/ 1 hr).
After Breakfast Checkout from Hotel and proceed to Pune ( 260 Kms / 4.5 Hrs) Enroute Visit Jejuri ( Khandoba Temple). Upon arrival at Pune transfer to Airport / Railway Station.
The Shilahara family at Kolhapur was the latest of the three and was founded about the time of the downfall of the Rashtrakuta Empire. They ruled over southern Maharashtra; the modern districts of Satara, Kolhapur and Belgaon. Their family deity was the goddess Mahalakshmi, whose blessing they claimed to have secured in their copperplate grants (Mahalakshmi-labdha-vara-prasada). Like their relatives of the northern branch of Konkan, the Shilaharas of Kolhapur claimed to be of the lineage of the Vidyadhara Jimutavahana. They carried the banner of golden Garuda. One of the many titles used by the Shilaharas was Tagarapuravaradhisvara, supreme sovereign ruler of Tagara.
Pune, previously spelled in English as Poona (the official name until 1978), is a city in Maharashtra state in the Deccan plateau in Western India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Pune district, and of Pune division.
This is a holy place of Shri.Vitthal and Shri.Rukmini. It is also known as the Southern Kashi of India and Kuldaivat of Maharashtra State. It is located at a distance of 72 kms by road. from Solapur District headquarters. The Pandharpur Railway Station falls on the Miraj-Kurduwadi-Latur railway track.
